Amanda Prince: A Story of Survival, Injustice & Rebuilding Her Life

Amanda Prince’s story is one of survival, resilience, and strength after an event that changed the course of her life. What began as a routine traffic stop in December 2023 turned into a year of loss, fear, and a battle to prove her innocence. Today, Amanda is working to rebuild her life from the ground up — and I am sharing her story so others can understand the truth of what she has lived through.

On December 17, 2023, Amanda was stopped just a short distance from her home for driving on a suspended license. She cooperated fully and allowed her late father’s truck to be searched. She had no illegal items, yet the situation escalated into a series of charges that carried up to 20 years in prison. Amanda spent her 46th birthday behind bars, terrified of what her future might hold.

Once released, she discovered the impact of the charges had already taken a toll. Her father’s truck — the last thing she had of him — was lost to impound fees she could not afford. She also faced financial hardship, transportation issues, and the emotional trauma of trying to defend herself against accusations she knew were not true.

For the next nine months, Amanda fought for her freedom. She was offered a plea deal of 10 years in prison but refused, knowing she was innocent. Court delays, fear of the unknown, and the weight of fighting alone made this period one of the hardest times of her life.

On September 20, 2024, everything changed. After reviewing the evidence, a jury returned a verdict of NOT GUILTY within minutes. Amanda was finally cleared of all charges — but the damage to her life had already been done.

Since then, Amanda has been working to regain stability, rebuild her future, and overcome the emotional and financial setbacks created during that year. Her journey is far from over, but she continues to move forward with strength and determination.
